New Delhi, November 13 (PM): The festival of Diwali has been a great one for the Indian economy and businessmen. This year, Diwali season has seen record business in markets across the country due to strong demand from consumers.
According to Traders Federation CAT, there has been a record trade of more than Rs 3.75 lakh crore this Diwali. Whereas Govardhan Puja, Bhaiya Dooj, Chhath Puja, and Tulsi Vivah festivals are yet to come in which is about Rs 50 thousand crore more business is being expected.

The magic of Vocal for Local worked

Praveen Khandelwal, National General Secretary of Confederation of All India Traders issued a statement saying that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s magic of ‘Vocal For Local’ has worked hard on people, and due to this, China Has suffered a business loss of more than Rs 1 lakh crore. He said that in earlier years, Traders in the country bought goods from China on the festival of Diwali, which this time Couldn’t be possible.

Praveen Khandelwal said that according to an estimate, about 13% share in the business of Rs 3.5 lakh crore is on food and grocery, 9% on jewelry, 12% on clothing and garments, 4% on dry fruits, sweets, and snacks, 3% on home furnishing. , 6% cosmetics, 8% electronics & mobiles, 3% puja material & puja items, 3% utensils & kitchen appliances, 2% confectionary & bakery, 8% gift items, 4% furnishing & furniture, and the remaining 20% automobile, hardware, Customers spent on electrical, toys and many other goods and services. Packing business across the country has also got a big market this Diwali.
Earlier also on Dhanteras, gold and silver worth Rs 30,000 crore were traded. The figure for sales of gold jewelry was only Rs 27,000 crore. Whereas in 2022, Dhantera’s gold and silver business was worth Rs 25,000 crore.
