Mukesh Ambani’s big announcement, Reliance will invest Rs 20 thousand crores in West Bengal
Business Desk: Reliance Industries Chairman and Managing Director (MD) Mukesh Ambani has announced that his company will invest an additional Rs 20,000 crore in West Bengal in the next three years. Reliance has already invested around Rs 45,000 crore in the state.
Mukesh Ambani, speaking at the 7th Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS), said that West Bengal has been one of the biggest investment destinations for Reliance. Reliance has invested about Rs 45,000 crore in the state. We are planning to invest an additional Rs 20,000 crore in the next three years. BGBS is the state’s premier investment summit. Representatives from more than 25 countries and business leaders from across India are expected to participate in the two-day event.
Reliance Chairman said that the investment will be made in three sectors – Digital Life Solutions, Reliance Retail Business, and Bio-Energy.
Mukesh Ambani said that Jio is going to complete the world’s fastest 5G rollout in India before the end of this year. We have covered most parts of West Bengal. Reliance is rapidly expanding its retail network in the state. Our network of 1,000 retail stores will increase to 1,200 in the next two years. We are planning to set up compressed bio-gas plants in the state. He also said that the Reliance Foundation has started a project for the renovation of the Kalighat temple, including the centuries-old heritage structure.
